Six Reasons Families Choose Anjung
From our facilitation style to our pricing transparency, here is what families consistently tell us made the difference.
Whole-Family Participation
Every adult in the household attends together. No one is left out of the conversation or handed a second-hand summary.
Malaysian-Specific Content
Materials are built around Malaysian cost of living, local financial products, and culturally familiar household patterns.
Transparent, Fixed Pricing
All fees are stated clearly upfront. No hidden charges, upsell calls, or membership schemes. You pay once for the programme you choose.
No Product Recommendations
We do not recommend banks, investment platforms, or insurance products. Our sessions explore general concepts so families can make their own calls.
Practical Take-Home Tools
Worksheets, journals, and reference handbooks mean the work continues at home. Families leave with materials they will actually use.
Facilitated, Not Lectured
Sessions are conversations with a guide, not presentations to a passive audience. Families do most of the talking — and the thinking.
Facilitators with Real Depth
Our facilitation team holds qualifications in adult education and family counselling, not just finance. This matters because household money conversations are not purely technical — they carry emotional weight, different values between partners, and generational patterns that can be hard to name.
All Anjung facilitators complete a structured internal programme before leading sessions. They are trained to hold space for difficult conversations calmly, to draw out quiet voices, and to keep discussions constructive without losing their honesty.
- Qualifications in adult education and family facilitation
- 60-hour internal certification before leading independently
- Experience with multi-generational and dual-income households
- Comfort conducting sessions in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- One-business-day response to all enquiries
- Pre-enrolment call to ensure the right programme fit
- Small group sizes (maximum 8 households per cohort)
- Post-programme check-in available for multi-session participants
Attentive Support Throughout
From the moment you reach out, someone at Anjung will take time to understand what your family is looking for before recommending a programme. We do not route enquiries through generic web forms and call it service.
Group sizes are kept deliberately small so facilitators can give real attention to each household in the room. Participants in multi-session programmes also have access to a brief check-in after completion.
Clear Value, No Hidden Layers
Each programme price covers all materials, facilitation, and post-session resources. There are no supplementary material fees, renewal subscriptions, or premium add-ons sold during sessions.
For families considering the six-week or three-month programmes, a deposit at booking with a balance due before the first session gives some flexibility. We aim to make the admin side of joining as friction-free as possible.
All fees cover up to 2 adults from the same household. Materials included.
- Families leave with a household plan they have created themselves
- Improved communication patterns around money decisions
- Clearer understanding of shared goals and differing priorities
- Practical tools that remain useful beyond the programme period
Outcomes Built to Last
We do not measure our success by the number of sessions delivered. We measure it by whether a family leaves with a plan they understand, agree on, and feel ownership of.
Because families build the plan themselves during sessions — rather than being handed a template — they are far more likely to follow through on it. The facilitator's role is to create the conditions; the family does the actual work.

What Makes Us Different
Features You Will Not Find Elsewhere
Shared-Goal Noticeboard Kit
Our Workshop participants take home a physical noticeboard kit — designed to sit in a visible household spot and keep the family's agreed goals in view. Simple, tactile, and surprisingly effective.
Roles and Responsibilities Mapping
The Shared Goals Programme includes a structured session where household members map who manages what — from day-to-day bill payments to longer-term saving reviews. This division-of-labour element is rarely offered in standard financial education.
Family Finance Reference Handbook
Foundations Course participants receive a comprehensive printed handbook covering the course content in a lasting reference format. It is designed to be revisited as household circumstances change over the years.
Bilingual Session Delivery
Facilitators are comfortable switching between English and Bahasa Malaysia within a session, ensuring that every family member — regardless of language comfort — can fully participate in the discussion.
