Why Anjung

A Planning Table Built for Families

We create a calm, cooperative space — not a lecture hall. Every element of our approach is shaped around how households actually work.

Household-First Approach

Sessions are designed for whole families — not individuals. Everyone at the table gains equal understanding and shared ownership of the plan.

Calm, Facilitated Conversations

Our facilitators guide discussions gently, helping families surface their own priorities without tension. No jargon, no pressure — just honest dialogue.

Locally Grounded Content

Materials reflect Malaysian household realities — cost of living in the Klang Valley, local financial products, and culturally familiar decision patterns.

Practical Tools You Keep

Every programme includes take-home materials — worksheets, journals, and reference handbooks — so the learning continues well after the sessions end.

Fair Division of Responsibilities

We help families map who handles what — from bill payments to savings tracking — so no single person carries the weight of household planning alone.

Education Only, No Sales Pressure

Anjung is a purely educational service. We do not sell financial products, take commissions, or steer families toward any particular provider. Your family, your choices.

Ready to Sit Down Together?

Whether you are just starting to talk about household money or looking for a deeper, longer programme, we are here to help your family find a comfortable path forward.

Common Questions

Questions Families Often Ask

Who are these programmes designed for?
Our workshops and courses are open to any household in Malaysia — couples, families with children, multi-generational households, or even adult siblings sharing expenses. The content is general and educational, so no prior knowledge of finance is expected.
Do you provide financial advice or recommend specific products?
No. Anjung is a financial education service, not a licensed financial advisory firm. We do not offer personal financial advice, recommend investment products, or receive any commission from third parties. Our role is to help families understand concepts and develop their own plans.
How many people from a family can attend?
Each programme fee covers participation for up to two adults from the same household. For the Whole-Family Finance Foundations Course, additional household members above two may join at a reduced supplementary fee. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions are held at our centre in SS2, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The space is set up like a comfortable planning room rather than a classroom. Parking is available nearby. We occasionally run community sessions at partner venues in the Klang Valley — check with us for current schedules.
What is the difference between the Workshop and the Programme?
The Household Budget Together Workshop is a single full day — a good starting point for families who want to map their current situation and agree on near-term priorities. The Shared Goals Family Programme spans six weeks, allowing families to put a plan in motion, check in, and refine it with facilitator support along the way.
Is the content available in Bahasa Malaysia?
Our written materials are currently prepared in English, with facilitators comfortable handling discussions in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. We aim to make every session accessible regardless of which language your family is most comfortable speaking.
How do I pay and is there a cancellation policy?
Payment is made via bank transfer or online banking (FPX) after your booking is confirmed. For the Workshop, full payment is required at least five working days before the session. For multi-session programmes, a deposit is taken at booking with the balance due before the first meeting. Please contact us for our rescheduling and cancellation terms.
